Town of Culture Outdoor Gallery

Rochdale is Greater Manchester Town of Culture 25-26. Starting in April 2025, our year as Town of Culture will build on our town’s rich cultural history and cooperative spirit, with more than 35 arts organisations bringing together an ambitious programme of festivals, exhibitions, events and performances! Showcasing the very best local talent, this year will put ‘people power’ at centre stage – and our Town of Culture Outdoor Gallery aims to do just that. Stretching across the Drake Street hoardings by the tram lines and between the town centre and Rochdale Train Station, this installation brightens up the route and showcases poetry, photography, traditional and digital art, inspired by the experiences and lives of Rochdale's creative community.
