Jamal Colin is a British Chagocian born in Mauritius, today settled in Rochdale. He is a slam poet, performer, mime artist, and workshop facilitator. 

He co‑founded Makadam Phylozophy in 2011 with Stéphanie Lo Hun, offering inclusive workshops aimed at democratising expressive art, nurturing creativity, and promoting social inclusion across all ages and backgrounds.

Recognised as a pioneer in Mauritius for practising silent mime, and participates in storytelling and sirandane events.
