JB Research Director Jamie Buttrick provides a wealth of knowledge and over 25 years' experience in the evaluation of a range of creative and heritage programmes including multiple evaluations of Creative People and Places (CPP) programmes. Jamie offers: 

- Specific experience of leading and delivering evaluations of eight CPP programmes in addition to undertaking wider research to support CPP nationally including a detailed analysis of ‘excellence’ in the context of CPP. 

- Extensive research and evaluation experience within the arts, culture and heritage sectors including multiple assignments for ACE, Creative Scotland, NPOs and arts organisations across the UK. 

- A track record of consulting with arts, community and voluntary organisations including exploring how creative activities can help to deliver a range of socioeconomic outcomes. 

- Experience of engaging with programme participants, audiences and the wider public through a range of interactive, engaging, and flexible approaches. 

- Experience of generating and using robust evidence to assess impact and inform monitoring, evaluation, and forward strategies. 

- The ability to provide clarity through robust and practical research recommendations to guide active programme management.
