Kicking off on Wednesday 7th October at Moody Blue in Rochdale, it’s the usual format…guest speakers for you to listen to and meet, then time later to network with other like-minded people. This chat will focus on how to build a music career outside of London. We have a brilliant line up of guests for you: 

Katherine Cantwell - Heavenly Records 

Katherine Cantwell is Audience Development / Social Media Manager at Heavenly Recordings, the independent record label founded in 1990. The label’s current roster includes KNEECAP, Baxter Dury, Katy J Pearson, The Orielles, David Holmes, Absolute Lilt, Gwenno 

Sophie Sveninsson - Radio X

Sophie Sveinsson is a broadcaster and creative professional with more than 20 years’ experience across the creative and broadcast industries. Her career includes working with Radio X and XS Manchester, with music, storytelling and connecting artists with audiences central to her work. 

Mark Orr - LAB Records

 Mark Orr began promoting rock and punk shows in Blackpool before founding LAB Records in 2007, aged 20. The independent label has since grown to more than 400 catalogue releases and over 2.5 billion streams, working with artists including The K’s, South Arcade, Friendly Fires, ALT BLK ERA, Crawlers, Beach Weather and Antony Szmierek
