Rochdale borough–wide
Rochdale has once again taken centre stage as a filming location for ITV’s acclaimed drama After the Flood, with production for the second series taking place across the borough throughout 2025.
The return of the hit series has brought national attention back to Rochdale’s striking landscapes and diverse urban settings. Filming has taken place across a range of locations, from the borough’s rugged moorlands to streets and roads throughout the town, reinforcing Rochdale’s growing reputation as a versatile and film‑friendly destination.
The production was supported by Rochdale Film Office (RFO), which worked closely with the cast and crew to coordinate filming and ensure a smooth experience on the ground. To protect privately owned land and support future filming opportunities, the Film Office has chosen not to identify specific locations, instead using general descriptions across public communications.
Series two of After the Flood is set to premiere on ITV at 9pm on Sunday 18 January 2026, offering viewers across the country another chance to see Rochdale showcased on primetime television.
