Rochdale borough–wide
Feel Good Festival, the popular Rochdale music and culture festival returns on Saturday 8 August, bringing a full day of live music, food and entertainment to the town centre. Line-up announcements are expected soon, with main stage tickets available from 10am on Friday 6 February.
Early bird tickets will be available for £15, followed by a second phase of tickets priced at £25. To help reduce single-use plastic, each ticket includes a re-usable drink cup, which can be collected on arrival at the festival site.
Tickets can be booked online at rochdale.gov.uk/FeelGoodFestival or by calling QuayTickets on 0161 876 2015.
The festival is organised by Rochdale Development Agency (RDA) on behalf of Rochdale Borough Council. As well as the main stage in Rochdale Town Hall Square, the event will feature live music across indoor venues, a quality food and drink village, and a wide range of entertainment throughout the day.
Councillor Sue Smith, the council’s cabinet member for communities and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council, said:
“We’re putting the finishing touches to our main stage line-up and will have some big announcements soon. Without giving too much away, it’s going to be another fantastic day. Amongst the acts on our main stage, we already have two BRIT Awards, a previous Glastonbury main stage headliner, 13 top ten albums and 28 top 20 singles. As always, to make it as good value as possible, we begin with these amazing early bird tickets, and the earlier you secure your tickets the more you save.”
Line-up details will begin to be confirmed over the next few weeks. Previous Rochdale Feel Good Festival main stage performers include Ocean Colour Scene, Razorlight, The Coral, Feeder, Lottery Winners, The Fratellis, Heather Small, Cast, Scouting for Girls, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Toploader, The Feeling, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Beat, Badly Drawn Boy, The Selector and The Lightning Seeds.
This year marks the 15th edition of the Rochdale Feel Good Festival, which is funded by the council alongside ticket sales and sponsorship from local businesses. Anyone interested in getting involved with the festival can email FeelGoodFestival@rochdale.gov.uk.
The night before the festival, on Friday 7 August, synth-pop icons Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) will perform a headline show at Rochdale Town Hall Square. They will be joined by post-punk legends Peter Hook & The Light and Manchester post-punk/funk band A Certain Ratio.
More information will be announced soon and will be available at www.rochdale.gov.uk/FeelGoodFestival.
