RISE seeks views from GM creative employees, freelancers and small businesses for its Class Creative Inquiry

12 November, 2025
Greater Manchester

RISE is leading on a piece of research that is looking to identify the barriers to working class people in creative industries. It is being co-chaired by Nazir Afzal OBE, former NW Crown Chief Prosecutor, and Avis Gilmore, former Deputy General Secretary of one of Europe’s largest unions.

They would love to hear your views on the topic but appreciate that employees, freelancers and those running small businesses are often busy people.

With this in mind, they hope you might be able to attend a Teams focus group from 12 noon to 1 pm on the 28th November 2025 to discuss where solutions lie.
