IGNITE Fire Festival - Participant Call Out

As part of the IGNITE Fire Festival, and marking the official opening of the Broadfield Park Slopes, 100 volunteers are being sought to take part in the Torch Procession on Friday 21 November.

This opportunity is open to participants aged 18 and over (participants aged 12+ can take part if accompanied by a responsible adult).

Opportunities to Participate:

1. Torch Procession – Friday 21 November
   Participants will join a group procession of around 100 local community members, carrying flame-lit torches down the Slopes to celebrate its opening and kick off the festival.
2. Fire Drawing Volunteers – 21–23 November
   During the festival, a new fire drawing will be revealed to the public each evening. Volunteers are needed to assist in building these drawings each day. Around five volunteers are required daily to work alongside the festival team.

The volunteer role takes place during the daytime before each evening event: Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd.

The work involves outdoor activity, bending to the ground and can be physically demanding, but it is highly rewarding to see the fire drawing come to life.
