Distant Screams Events Ltd

We are Distant Screams Events Ltd, and we believe that Horror is not just for Halloween! We love the dark, twisted and macabre and we bring a bit of that into all our events. Our flagship event being Heywood Horror Con, lovingly nicknamed Horrorwood, this horror themed convention was a first for the Rochdale Borough when we launched it in 2023 and has remained the only Horror specific event in the area. It brings together local performers, artists, tattooists, and makers of all things weird and wonderful all whilst raising money for a well loved Lancashire based charity in The Sophie Lancaster Foundation. 

We pride ourselves in creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming space where lovers of all facets of the horror entertainments universe, can get together and indulge in meeting some of their favourite villains, testing their mettle in our scaremaze and shopping for that one unique piece of merch in our traders hall. We build nearly all our own props and photo ops and offer these to hire at other events too. 

We also have a small studio space in Heywood where you can come and view some of our stuff or even host your own photoshoot using our costumes and props!
