Shilpa Gupta: You Are The Place

Artist Shilpa Gupta connects and collects stories with different communities to create a thought-provoking sound installation in Rochdale.

For MIF25, Mumbai-based artist Shilpa Gupta has worked with different local community groups in to explore absence, longing, belonging and hope.

Created in partnership with Rochdale Development Agency, the work culminates in a sound installation using a series of singing microphones at the RISE Inavate Centre in Rochdale town centre during MIF25.

Wander around the installation taking in different perspectives in this moving and thought-provoking work of art about waiting, persistence and hope.

This event is free to attend with no booking required.

It runs from Tuesday to Sunday throughout MIF25 (4-20 July)
